They come in all kinds of fun colors – we might do the same in the entry way but in a sunshine yellow!

Re: the linen cupboard, I’d go with built-in shelves with or without a door–you end up with so much more storage room that way. And if you put a door on, you don’t have to worry so much about keeping the shelves looking neat. ;)
